Communication Consultant + Professional Writer + Information Designer

About Me

I always try to educate my clients on the best solutions and options available to them.

I am a communication consultant, professional writer, and teacher of writing and communication who lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally from New Jersey, I moved South a few years ago to fulfill a lifelong dream of earning a Ph.D. in English. While I was finishing my degree, I worked as Marion L. Brittain Postdoctoral Fellow at Georgia Tech where I studied and taught technical communication. Most recently, I have begun working as a communication consultant and freelance professional writer, working for a wide variety of clients. Building on twenty years of experience as a professional writer, editor, and writing teacher, I combine high-level research capability and scholarly expertise with expert-level communication skills.

I strive to be an educator in my work, always basing my recommendations on academic, marketing, and usability research. I also strive to provide low-cost, high-yield solutions to my clients. I try to create communication that is usable, comprehensible, accessible, effective, and elegant, and I always try to educate my clients on the best solutions and options available to them.
